Day Wise Plan

Day 01 Delhi to Jaipur

Morning leave by car, visiting en-route Amber, to take an elephant ride to the hilltop fort. Arrive Jaipur early in the afternoon and proceed to your hotel. Enjoy at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 02 Jaipur

This morning tour Jaipur visiting the city Palace complex which includes the Hawa Mahal observatory which is still equipped with ancient instruments including a very accurate 90 foot sundial, and the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. Afternoon at leisure to visit perhaps the kite shops a Sanganer Gate or the colourful bazaars of Bapu and Johari. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 03 Jaipur to Agra

After breakfast leave by car to Agra visiting en-route Fatehpur Sikri, probably the best preserved and most complete city of Mughal Palaces all over. Build by Akbar around 1570 he used the highest quality craftsmen to contract the city, only to abandon it some years later presumably because the water supply failed. Arrive Agra early in the afternoon and proceed to your hotel. Agra, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River was the time of the Mughals, in the 16th and 17th centuries, the capital of India. Day 04 Agra

This morning visit the Taj Mahal which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, as a memorial to this queen, Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah.

Afternoon at leisure and perhaps explore the bazaars in the area to the west of the fort.

Day 05 Agra to Gwalior

Leave by car for Gwalior, established in the 8th century. It is noted for its large hill-top fort, which is one of the oldest in India. In the afternoon visit the fort, which contains the 15th century palace of Raja Man Singh and the Teli-Ka-Templea and ancient temple. Gwalior is also an important centre of India classical music and each December a great music festival is held here.

Day 06 Gwalior to Orchha

After an early breakfast leave for medieval Orchha, stopping en-route at Datia to view the beautiful seven storey hill-top Gobinda Palace. Then onto Orchha, on the banks of the Betwa River. This former capital of the Bundela Rajputs, has been left relatively undisturbed by time. Orchha is rich in mural art and architecture – visit the Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Sheesh Mahal. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 07 Orchha to Khajuraho

This morning drive onto Khajuraho, important for its magnificent Chandela temples. Arrive Khajuraho in the afternoon and proceed to your hotel for overnight.

Day 08 Khajuraho

Morning visit to the temples – which form probably one of the best examples of India art. Afternoon free to revisit the temples at your leisure.

Day 09 Khajuraho to Varanasi

Transfer to airport for your flight to Varanasi. On arrival proceed to your hotel. Varanasi, the eternal city is the holiest Hindu city in India and one the oldest living cities in the world. Afternoon city tour visiting the temples in the old city and the Emperor Aurangzeb Mosque.

Day 10 Varanasi

Early morning boat ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise and to see the rituals the take place along the Ghats (waterside steps). Afternoon visit Sarnath to see the Chinese and Buddhist temples and the interesting Sarnath Museum.

Day 11 Varanasi to Delhi

Transfer to airport for your return flight to Delhi Assistance on arrival, or flight to Kathmandu (Nepal).

Arrive by air meet, assist & transfer to hotel.

Day 12 Kathmandu

Morning: Half day Kathmandu city Swayambhunath.

Afternoon: Visit – Patan city and Tibetan Refugee Camp.

Day 13 Kathmandu

Morning: Half day visit Bhadgaon city with Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.

Afternoon: Short walk around Dhulikhel Mountain Resort.

Day 14 Kathmandu / Dhulikhel (Drive)

Morning Drive Kathmandu – Dhulikhel. Afternoon: Short walk around Dhulikhel Mountain Resort.

Day 15 Dhulikhel / Kathmandu / Delhi

Morning: At leisure Dhulikhel – Kathmandu – drive. Kathmandu-Delhi by Air. Meet, assist and transfer to hotel.

Day 16 Delhi/Out

Transfer to airport to board International.
